Autumn 2020

A Mixture of Reflection and Sorrow

Welcome to November 2020. It was covid weird when people stood at a distance, afraid, uncertain, and disconnected. Like I said. It was covid weird. At the same time, there was something in the quietness of this moment that stilled my heart. I could literally hear leaves falling, as the air was eeriely silent from traffic that was Not there.

Autumn 2020 contained a mixture of both reflection and sorrow. It also extended an invitation to…

Simply Be.

As awful as it was during covid weird, I am thankful for this season when time stood still. It offered me a chance to notice what had been there all along: Reminders of God's steady faithfulness during seasons of change; An empty church once filled with laughter; And God's presence with me, even when things get weird.

Wherever you are today, in Autumn 2025, I am asking God to comfort, help, and strengthen you. May you be filled with living hope and find rest in your soul.

Love you all,

Mary
